I made a believer out of my husband!

My husband is naturally pessimistic. When I told him that we were going to potty train our daughter at 20 months old, he said good luck! When I said we were going to do it in 3 days, he laughed. When I said we were going to do day and night together, he was scared for us all.

Being a first time Mom, I tried to ignore his wise remarks. I requested 10 days off work (just in case I was wrong), read the manual several times with my highlighter in hand and swooped up my daughter for a day of shopping. We bought MANY big girl underwear, a big potty insert, and a small potty. We were ready for what lies ahead.

The first day was just as difficult as the manual warned about. My daughter peed through all 24 pair of underwear the first day and only made it on the potty once. She didn't like the small potty at all. The cushy one faced backward seemed to be our only glimmer of hope. We were exhausted. My husband spent that evening preparing my "failure - backup plan".

Determined to succeed, I started day two refreshed and thrilled to find she had slept through the night - dry! There was hope! Day two ended up much like day one. My husband proposed his "failure - backup plan" that evening. I was able to postpone the talk by distracting him with dinner - and lots of laundry!

Begining of day three, I thanked my daughter for having another dry night and ... finally, a successful pee in the morning! She saw the pee come out and then it clicked! We did the happy dance and then we called daddy at work (who I am sure doubted the whole occurance). The rest of the day was filled with successes and accidents - almost 50/50.

It is now the morning of day 11. My daughter had one accident yesterday and 12 successes. She is even getting territorial over the potty. It is hers and she proudly tells us when she has to go pee pee. My husband is now the proud father of a diaperless child. He eagerly called his mother, another doubter, to boast that his daughter is now potty trained. She is waiting to see for herself and we are happy to show her!

Being a first time mother, potty training was one of the scariest things on my mind. When my daughter turned 22 months, I started researching all the different methods on toilet training. I finally decided on the Easy Potty Training Method. My daughter went through about 15 pairs of underwear in the first 24 hours of training. By the second day, I was ready to give up. Then, on Sunday, she had only 2 accidents. On the same day, she went poop on the potty! Then, that evening, we were all in the living room and my daughter disappeared into the kitchen. When she didn't return right away, I went to check on her and there she was sitting on the toilet with a big smile on her face going pee! My husband and I were in shock.

I had joked before on how great it would be if my daughter was toilet trained by the time she was two and it actually happened. Just as the book said, it just clicked. I can't thank you enough for sharing your method. I highly recommend to everyone I know with toddlers who aren't potty trained yet and definitely plan to use it on my future kids.

From the time my daughter was 18 months I wanted to potty train her, but everyone around me said it was too early. Being that this was my first child I was not sure how to train her, and after purchasing a book I was still unsure about what to do. When I purchased and read the ebook I found that this training method made so much sense. I tried it and just when I was losing hope it really did click for my daughter on the third day. We started out training on the potty and by the third day she was on the toilet. She runs to the bathroom when she feels the urge. We also take the potty with us when we go out and she is not confused at all. She is glad she does not wear anymore diapers and so am I. Thank you so much! I was a skeptic and now I am a believer. I will absolutely do this again when my 5 month old is ready.
