Toilet Training BoysSuccess Stories Whether your little boy is on a journey from potty to toilet or is simply taking the leap right away, we want to hear your story! Share with us the challenges you faced and what methods worked for you! I was so upset by the first day of potty training my 3 year old son. I thought this was not going to work and i would have to clean his pee pee forever. On the 3rd day something amazing happened. I decided to take a small break from watching over him and I went to put the clothes to dry when he came running up to me and said "MOMMY all done!", I looked at him and said what do you mean all done? He said come look, he took me to his potty chair and he had gone poop all by him self. I almost fall to the ground full of joy. I even took a picture and sent it to daddy and grandma. All day today on the 3rd day of potty training he has gone by him self. I took him to Petco so he could get a gold fish for being so good day and i guess he was so excited to be there he went pee pee on the floor. I'm ok with that because when we got home I started all over again. So far so good. Thank you so much from the bottom of this joyful Mothers heart. God Bless you and keep up the good work. All mothers who are reading this don't give up it gets better. Patty and Jacob SuccessDate:08/26/2008 |
My son actually had no problem going to the toilet while in pullups but the problem was getting him to go on time in the toilet. It started working well by day 3 for him it was fun for him to go on his own and sit and pee and he did a lot and he made sure we knew to accompany him.As of today which is about a week and a half he has officially pooped and peed on his own without me.I made a big deal about the #2 on his own as that was still a challenge for a while. He hasn't wet his underwear overnite or while out.He worked along with the training quickly.I am thankful I found your website because I needed that extra help to get him independant to go on his own.Thank you much. We got your book a few months back and decided to give our 23 month old son a go at it last weekend.
I have Wed - Sun off so I had a perfect opportunity to stay at home with Zak and give him the attention he needed.
It went text book! Just like you said the first day was a bit messy, then it clicked. He's been awesome all week! A couple of accidents here and there (maybe 3 since day two?) but unreal!
Our daycare provider was VERY reluctant when we brought him in on Monday morning saying please NO diapers or pull-ups. She said she would give it a try but was not optimistic.
He hasn't had one accident there and she can't believe it!
Thank you so much! Scott & Jo Merkley SuccessDate:05/30/2008 |
Lora,
My wife and I waited until I had some time off for us to try your method. We have 2 1/2 yr old twins, Boy and Girl. So it really took both of us to handle this. But I'm happy to say that it worked ! We started a week ago today, and by Tuesday, my Son was asking to go potty. It took until Thursday for my daughter to "click" as to what was going on. I'm also happy to say that we've had to change only 1 set of wet sheets since then and that was during the first night of toilet training for my daughter. We've had none since ! We've also noticed that it seemed to help having them wear pants during this. It made for more laundry, but there was more clothes to be wet and they were able to feel it better.
Thank you very much Darin |
Toilet training - day 3. Just a quick note to give you an update as to the success of our toilet training. Last night, my son was able to hold his pee all night long! We were so proud of him. This morning we negotiated a bit before he was ready to get on the "cold" toilet, but he did it and later in the day, he told me that he wanted to show me something..eek?? and low and behold, he had done his stinky in the toilet!!! we made a big deal out of it and it really was a big deal to us! I can't believe how far he has come in just these three days. So, in a nutshell we went to the preschool today and he will hopefully start there next Monday. We still have some reinforcement to go through (he only goes for me now and he will have to learn to listen to the teachers etc...). I am sure it will help to see the other kids going to the potty, but again I wanted to thank you for your experience & for the great plan you are sharing with other moms like me!

I purchased your toilet training guide from you a few weeks back and I am pleased to say that it worked great. I just wanted to thank you for offering this toilet training method. If you ever get an email from someone who isn't sure about this system, give them my email address and I will reassure them.
thanks a million, Cris Warkentin |
